- 8 ounces frozen in-shell edamame beans
- 1 lemon, zest of
- 1 tablespoon ponzu sauce
- red pepper flakes (to taste)
- flaked salt (to taste)
- Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a saucepan and add frozen edamame.
- Return the water to a boil and cook 3 minutes, then drain and cool.
- Serve edamame drizzled with ponzu and sprinkled with lemon zest, red pepper flakes to taste and flaked salt.
- To eat, pull the shells through your teeth, drawing the beans out, and discarding the shell.
