Salad with Ginger-Miso Dressing

Simple salad to serve with Japanese meals, or anytime.


  • Iceberg lettuce,  chopped
  • Shredded carrots
  • Other ingredients if you prefer, such as chopped tomato, sliced cucumber or sliced fresh mushrooms

Dressing (about 3/4 cup):

  • 2 tablespoons white miso
  • 2 tablespoons  grated fresh ginger
  • 4 tablespoons  rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • salt and black  pepper to taste

  1. Whisk together dressing and serve over salad.


  1. We loved this a lot! I used iceberg and other greens, carrots, and avocado. The dressing is to die for, I'll make this again and again. Thanks for sharing!
